Jantje Friese is Production and Media Management Graduate

Friese was born in the German town, Marburg. She graduated in production and media management from the prestigious University of Television and Film Munich.

Upon her graduation, she then earned experiences working as a commercial producer at Made in Munich and Neue Sentimental Film Berlin. Following that, she produced short films such as Perle and Quietsch in the successive years 2004 and 2005.

In 2010, she went on to produce a feature film titled The Silence for the first time with Baran bo Odar.

Jantje Friese Made Her Screenwriter Debut in 2014

In 2014, Jantje Friese made her debut as a screenplay writer in the German language techno-thriller movie Who Am I: No System Is Safe.

She co-wrote the screenplay with her partner Baran bo Odar, who also directed the film.

The film received international recognition when it was selected to premiere at the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival, and at the 17th European Union Film Festival. Later, the thriller also won the Bambi for Best German Film and three German Movie Awards.
