Michel Stern is one of those people who not much is known about their early years. There is so much mystery to the man that whatever is in the public domain about him are just tidbits of what has been let out by his very popular wife.
It is understood that Stern was born in 1958 in France. He spent all of his childhood and teenage years in the European country before moving to the U.S. to pursue a career in advertising.
He was said to have first struggled to make it in the advertising business before later establishing himself to become very successful at it and rising to the level of an executive. But despite the success he had achieved, Stern maintained a relatively low profile and just went about his business.

Michel Stern and his wife Lisa Kudrow have quite an interesting love story, unless you are Lisa’s roommate who Stern was said to have been dating at the time he first came across his future wife.
The two met in the late 1980s through the unnamed roommate. The then-upcoming actress, who was said to have been able to speak some French and had an affinity for people from France, was attracted to the French man who also enjoyed his short exchange with his girlfriend’s roommate.
Nothing subsequently occurred between the pair as Stern would later break up with his girlfriend and not come in contact with Lisa again.
As faith would have it, however, the paths of the two would go-on to cross a few years later where they managed to start a friendship that led to them deciding to spend the rest of their lives together.

She continued, “When he’d come to pick her up, he’d say, ‘Oh hello, Lisa,’ and I’d say, ‘Hi,’ and I’d go and leave the room and he thought I was a freak.
“They went out for two and a half months, and six years later I met him again at her birthday party and we just never stopped. We’re still friends.
